A few years must yet pass before these two youngsters will assume the responsibilities of operating Hunter Farms; they represent the fifth generation. The Case tractor, in spotless condition, was the first new tractor purchased for this farm in 1941. While an advancement in efficiency from older models and the use of horses, to someone familiar with agriculture in those days (me) this great looking rig almost seems light years distant from the capital intensive machinery used today.
In view of current economic turmoil, I hope the present generation and my older generation have the mental stamina and spirit to ensure these two delightful youngsters will enjoy a future in capitalistic agriculture.
